Michael Knowles, political commentator, author, and host of The Michael Knowles Show at the Daily Wire and The Book Club at PragerU, spoke to a packed audience at the Nixon Library on November 3. This visit came after he made history this year as the first podcaster to attend a White House Cabinet meeting and his recent testimony before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the topic of political violence.
Making a case for how President Nixon’s legacy has been vindicated, Knowles outlined a path for the conservative movement to move forward post Trump. By applying the lessons of Nixon to today, he presented three key takeaways for the conservative movement.
“But what has really vindicated President Nixon is the history that has unfolded ever since. The problems that we now face are the problems he overcame. The forces that sought to destroy him are the forces that threaten us again now. After some 50 years in the political wilderness, President Nixon is once again a man for the moment.”
Concluding with a question and answer session, Knowles engaged with the audience, offering advice for young conservatives and strategies for advancing the movement.
