YORBA LINDA, Calif. — The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum will host Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett for a special program on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM PDT. Justice Barrett will engage in a wide-ranging conversation with nationally syndicated radio host and Nixon Foundation Board Member Hugh Hewitt, offering the audience an inside look at her judicial philosophy, her experiences on the Court and the principles that guide her approach to the Constitution.
The program coincides with the release of Justice Barrett’s highly anticipated book, Listening to the Law: Reflections on the Court and Constitution. Sharing both the personal and the professional, this book provides thoughtful perspectives on the role of the judiciary and the challenges of interpreting the Constitution in modern times while providing candid reflections on life as a Supreme Court Justice.
Justice Barrett, who was appointed to the Supreme Court in 2020, is one of the country’s most important—and independent—legal minds. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, she is married to Jesse M. Barrett and the mother of seven children. A graduate of Rhodes College and Notre Dame Law School, she clerked for Judge Laurence H. Silberman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and for Justice Antonin Scalia of the U.S. Supreme Court. Her distinguished career has included private practice, teaching as a law professor at Notre Dame and serving judicial appointments to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit before her appointment to the nation’s highest court by President Donald Trump.
